Director
Solomon Aduko Bukari
Solomon Aduko Bukari is the director of Sabal Aquaculture Consult and has been in the fisheries and aquaculture sector for over ten years. Solomon’s experience spans from work with large scale fish farms companies, consulting, and the establishment of fish farm projects to working as a senior fisheries manager at the fisheries commission of Ghana. He liaised with other stake holder organisations such FAO, CIDA, WRI-CSIR, EPA, Forestry Commission and donor agencies in research development and implementation, capacity building for fish farmers, and the establishment of several fish farm projects across Ghana. He holds a BSc. Fisheries & Aquatic Science and a MSc in Environmental management in addition to several certificates in the areas of fisheries and aquaculture management. Solomon is currently the principal lead consultant at Sabal Aquaculture Consult.
Admin and Marketing Manager
Charlotte Akakpab
Charlotte Akakpab has a bachelor’s degree in integrated development studies and an exceptional experience in public administration, finance, and marketing. Charlotte is responsible for the identifying, Designing and implementation of marketing strategies and ensures coordination of procedures during contract sourcing at Sabal. She also coordinates policies and procedures that ensures our staff members are competent for our tasks.
Principal Aquaculture Consultant (Head of RAS projects)
Adinan Issahaque
Adinan Issahaque as the principal consultant in charge of recirculatory aquaculture systems (RAS) is responsible for
- The design and installations of recirculatory aquaculture systems (RAS)
- Feed nutrient analysis and trial diets
- Wastewater nutrient budget analysis
- Ecotoxicological and water quality parameter analysis
- Training and capacity building
He has extensive knowledge and practical experience in environmental impact assessments, climate change modelling and adaptations, marine biodiversity, and quantitative biological analysis. Adinan holds a BSc. Agricultural Technology and a MSc. In Sustainable Aquaculture and has supervised various management activities during his tenure with the Fisheries Commission of Ghana.
Principal Aquaculture Consultant (Aquatic Research)
Dr. Ibrahim Issifu
Dr. Ibrahim Issifu is a researcher and a principal consultant at Sabal Aquaculture Consult. He has extensive research experience in interdisciplinary oceans and fisheries economics. Dr. Issifu has done several research works in the sectors of blue foods, ocean sustainability and bioeconomics in collaboration with international organizations like FAO, UNEP, and USAID. As head of the aquatic research at Sabal, he leads the team in project feasibility evaluations, communicates the latest findings in marine science through academic findings, conferences or outreach, communicates scientific information needed to manage marine and freshwater environment in aquaculture zones, conducts training and capacity building
